SOME MORE LAYOUTS FROM THE DT TO INSPIRE YOU
Hi ladies Mary here with my take on Jo's fabulous Challenge . I love the sketch , so would love to see lots of entries on your take .For close ups and the story behind the layout visit my blog
Now Annette and Kim will add their beautiful layouts of Jo's Challenge.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh my what gorgeous pages Mary and Kim such pretty colours and awesome textures.
For my page a flipped the sketch on it's side and used this amazing pic of my friend Sue's beautiful little granddaughter Isabella (mostly called Bella), I did this page as a gift for Sue as Bella definately is the apple of her eye.
Can't remember the paper range I used but the large flower is from Manor house, stamps are old Kaisercraft, ribbon, tiny twine, buttons, collection butterflies (part of my fussy cutting) and small blue fabric flowers are all from Craft Queen, Nicole has the most amazing collection of embellies. http://www.craftqueen.com.au/.
I just loved the sketch part of the challenge, can help get you out of a rut sometimes.
Hope you will all give this challenge a go, so much fun, can't wait to see.
Hugs and love till then
Annette xo

Kim here with my take on Jo's lovely sketch challenge and a HUGE thank you to Val for joining us this month to help inspire you to scrap a precious memory.....after all that is the aim of this ever-so-fun hobby /art of SCRAPBOOKING.....
{A Walk In The Park}
This is my girl Madison, who may I say doesn't really like me taking photo's of her! {Can you tell???}
I've used the CW template {Spring Fling}to add texture and also the Kaisercraft circles mask. Die cuts also are Kaisercraft and I have cut out some extra roses from the die-cuts.
So the sketch looks like this
So as usual I went off on my own little adventure but you can see the basic sketch...
Thanks for looking and we do hope you can join us!
Kim x
Make sure you pop back as Annette will add her layout very soon :)

November Challenge
Hello everyone, Jo here.
It's my turn to set the challenge this month and I thought it would be fun to do a Sketch challenge. I would also like you to either use Die-cuts or do some fussy cutting (you choose!)
We have an amazing Guest Designer this month and I can't wait to introduce you to her.

Here is the sketch - don't forget you can interpret this anyway you wish as long as it is recognizable as this sketch e.g. turn sideways etc.
And without further ado, I'd like to introduce the wonderful Val Thorpe who resides in beautiful South Africa. Thank you Val for inspiring us with your work this month.
Hi
my name is Val and I am a scrap-a-holic. I have been married to Simon for 37
years and we have two kids, Clint and Storm, a DIL Lin who is expecting twins
in Feb, four very spoilt yorkies and a beautiful cat called Hansa. I am lucky
enough not to have to work and to have a very well kitted out studio. I get to
travel a lot and photography is my other passion and so I always have loads of
material to scrap. My passion with scrapbooking is the journalling (newly
discovered) and now I am going back through my layouts to add the stories.
I am on
the DT at Once Upon a Sketch, CSI,
Let's Scrap and Black with 2. I am also addicted to challenges. I like the fact
that they challenge me to think outside the box and to try things that
ordinarily I may not have... I have a blog
http://valbellesramblings.blogspot.com.au/
and you can also find me on Facebook Valerie Ann Thorpe so come and look me up and say hello.

Here is Val's inspirational take on the sketch:
{FLY}
I'm sure you'll agree that Val has a beautiful style and her photos are always magnificent. Remember to have a look at Val's blog - it's sure to put a smile on your face :) So next is my take on the sketch:
{Weekend Escape}
I've used the lovely Kaisercraft "Sweet Pea" collection which I thought was perfect for this photo with the die cut animals. I took ages to decide on a photo for this paper collection because the colours match so well with many different pics. The little flowers are from Craft Queen, the flair button is from A Piece of Cake Designs and for the life of me I can't remember where I obtained the chippie title from, sorry :/ There is also a few bits of pp from Stampin' Up! For closies go to My Blog If you visit my blog you may also have a chance to see where I'm exploring at the moment :)
Anyway I hope you can play along this month and thanks for dropping by.
