Well lovely peeps here is my take on our first challenge set by the lovely Mary. Brief was to scrap a childhood memory and while I can't recall all of this time, the one thing that I do remember is eating mulberries on the other side of the river waiting for the boat to take us back across, also that the steps cut into the river bank seemed very steep and slippery.
How cool though to be rowed across the river (Belmore NSW) to go to school (Belmore Public).
So do you have a childhood memory to scrap? Come and join in.
Hugs and love Annette x

Our very First Challenge !
Hello and welcome to our very first Challenge ! :) We hope that you will join us and we can inspire each other and challenge each other in our scrapbooking journey.
For our first challenge I would like you to scrap a Childhood Memory. So it maybe a favourite doll or teddy bear, a holiday, anything that reminds you of your childhood. The only criteria is to have some journalling to tell the story. So have fun, enjoy the journey back to your childhood and please share your amazing layouts with us
I am using the layout I also used for Miss Annette's colour challenge on facebook. This is me at the Tennis Courts down from my family home. I spent a lot of time here growing up. You can read the story on my blog

Gorgeous Mary!!!
Love that MME paper and your soft colours!!!!
A very warm welcome to our new venture, we are looking forward to inspiring you over the coming months. Mary has given us a lovely first challenge.
When we, Mary, Annette and I talked about our first challenge, Mary talked about a Vintage Challenge and my mind went straight to a photo I have had, hanging up on a string in my old scraproom...now the photo isn't of me it's of my mother, (Molly aged 5ish) with her family back in 1947, it was taken upon their arrival in Sydney from Launceston, Tas. I know very little other than what I've told you....but this pic so needed a new home other than hanging on a string!!!
Over the next few days all shall become clear about our little challenge blog.
Cheers Kim
It gives me great pleasure to introduce our First Guest DT Member for the month
Drum Roll...........
The lovely Jo Tritton
and a little about Jo
Hi, my name is Jo Tritton and I've been married for 28 years (I'm still trying to get my head around that!) & we have two wonderful young adults who are my greatest achievement, and they provide lots of inspiration for this addiction of mine. We also have two fur babies who tend to pop up in my layouts from time to time as well. I've been scrapping for 7 years now & still cannot define my own style. I always like to try new techniques & I like to have a go at many different styles. I tend to use distressing techniques and ink on a lot of my projects and I love all the new masks and templates that are available now. Besides my family, I also love to scrap our travel photos (travel being my other passion). I find the art of paper crafting very therapeutic, liberating and challenging. This year I have been published in Scrapbooking Memories Magazine and Australian Scrapbook Creations Magazine. I've also recently been a Guest Design Team member with "Show Us Your Stuff" and a "Featured Member" on The Scrapboxx. I am humbled and excited to be asked to be one of the first Guest Designers for Orange Paperie & Co. It's the wonderful people that I get to meet through scrapbooking that makes the journey so worthwhile.
and Jo's gorgeous layout
This is a layout of Jo's Mum
