Well here we are with the announcement of the winner of my August Challenge, which was to use chipboard and flowers, and wow how many goreous pages did we have, makes picking a winner very difficult.
Netherless we were unanimous with our decision, so a huge congrats to Tone K, her page was so pretty and we loved how she used the chippies and flowers.

Tone has won this gorgeous pack of goodies kindly donated by Nicole at Craft Queen Australia

So once again a huge thanks from the DT and myself to everyone who took the time to do our challenge.

Hello everyone Mary here with my layout for Cheryl's Challenge . I have chosen Red as my splash of colour

The hearts are from Pink Paislee, I have used the blossom mask and coloured with a combination of Gelato's and water colour paints. The Washi Tape of the garden scene is from Craftqueen as are the metal flower embellishments. The 3 black button/Stud thingys are from my Mum's tin of treasures. The arrow Stamp is from Scrapfriends. I used lots of bits and pieces on this layout, the Music PP was a left over scrap from ages,I think it may be Kaiser
Looking forward to seeing everyone's take on the challenge and now Kim with her layout

 Hi everyone! Kim here......

Stunning page Mary!  Love the red and what a great photo!
Here is my splash of colour is BROWN.

I've used a stamp that came with a magazine (that I haven't used before). Tim Holtz distress inks buttons and brass jewellery links.....tiny twine and Prima alpha's from Craft Queen. I do hope you find a little spare time to join us this month and again a HUGE thank you to Heather  for her inspiration this month, your work is just stunning!

   Heather Jacob

Hi there, my name is HEATHER  JACOB.
Firstly I am so honoured and thrilled to be here as a guest designer .Thanks so much  Cheryl for inviting me .
The theme this month is Black and White with a kiss of color. I chose  lime green as my kiss of color to blend with this divine photo of my favourite flowers.
Now a little about me : I feel blessed that my husband/soulmate Baden is incredibly supportive and interested in my art and hobbies. My beautiful family feature in my works.
To me this craft is the perfect combination of art, photography, beautiful paper, and glorious words. I especially love to choose some elements, cast a spell and see what happens, to create a dream and follow it through. Subtle shadows, light and color are all ingredients for casting the spell. I am in harmony with my garden and its inhabitants, connecting with the beauty that surrounds me. For me it is all-consuming, inspiring and a natural expression of my inner self, which I love to weave into my works.
I am inspired by colour and texture … I love to play with stitching, chipboard, journaling, muslin, fabrics, metal elements, inking, masking and texture paste. Getting messy with paint, experimenting and playing with paper ignites my creativity and connects me with my inner child.
Off the page projects and altered art are a fave of mine. I see my style as “CLASSIC” with attention to detail…I tend to lean toward monochromatic themes with a little shabby chic/grunge thrown in..
Memories are forever, Warm hugz from Heather x

My blog
I am lucky enough to be on a number of design teams and my work has been widely published nationally and internationally.
A HUGE THANK YOU to Heather and her beautiful inspiration this month.....X

Annette here with my take on Cheryl's fantastic challenge and how gorgeous are her and Heathers pages, yummo.
I decided to go with red for my splash of colour, and these pics of my very handsome young nephew Logan were just perfect,

by Annette
I kept the page pretty simple as I wanted the main focus to be the pics.
To add a bit of pizzaz to the cog chippies I painted them and then used dimensional magic which I also coated the word tags with. Some beautiful stripped ribbon, ric rac, plasterers tape (very versatile stuff) fabric covered and normal buttons as well as some washi all combined created a page I am quite pleased with. Oooh even dragged out the dymo labeller too.

So I hope that you will all join in and have some fun with our challenge this month.
Hugs and love,
Hello everyone, Jo here and welcome to October! I'm so excited to have one of my fave scrapbookers join us as our Guest Designer this month. I've been following Heather Jacob's work for a long time now and she never ceases to inspire me. Thank you Heather for sharing all your wonderful creations.  Here is my take on Cheryl's challenge - Black + White with a splash of colour. I must thank Steve Hill (DD's partner) for once again supplying me with this great photo from their travels.

I've used Kim's background technique with texture paste on black cardstock, added some stamping & ink. For my splash of colour of was inspired of course by the brilliant blue sky in the pic (I know! unusual for London right?!). Whenever I see photos of St Paul's Cathedral I'm reminded of the Mary Poppins movie and the old lady feeding the birds - it always brings a tear to my eye. There's also some lovely little embellies, washi tape & fabric from Craft Queen and the flowers & metal street lamps I've had in my stash for years so I'm not sure where I got them from, sorry. Of course the lovely bird is from prima.

For closies go to my Blog .  I really hope you can join in on the fun this month. It's an easy challenge this month so I'd love to see what "splash" you come up with.
Mary and Kim will be back Mid-October to show you their takes on Cheryl's October Challenge
