Oh my goodness, September already, and time for another awesome (because I have set it) challenge and a new Guest designer.
So without further ado I would like to introduce you all to Cheryl O'Brien who is a very close friend of us here at Orange Paperie.

I
discovered scrapbooking in 2001 when I was living on the Central Coast,
or I should say I discovered my first scrapbooking magazine, Creating
Keepsakes, it had me intrigued and I knew I wanted to try this craft,
but my options were limited as I could not find a scrapbooking store
anywhere on the Coast. I eventually found my first store after moving
to the country in 2002 and came across Joys Paperworks in a neighbouring
town whilst shopping one day, I was almost beside myself, excitement
plus!! Needless to say, I went home that day with lots of goodies and
thus my obsession began.
I
don’t really know that I have a particular style, though of late I am
tending towards layering a lot more than I used to and doing a lot of
distressing etc and am finding the results quite pleasing.

There
are a whole lot of very talented scrappers out there, all with their
own unique style and I admire each and every one of them, though I
must admit my all time favourite is Julie Winks. I just love all her
work, it’s candy for the eyes.
I
don’t really do a lot of online shopping as I prefer to suss out
scrapping stores wherever I go and stock up then, but when I do shop
online I would have to say that Scrapboxx ,Shop and Crop and Scrap
Therapy are my three top picks.
The Challenge for this month is a recipe, I like recipes they tend to take a lot of the guess work out of what you have to do but still allow for lots of creative flow.
You will need the following ingredients -
1 black and white pic
ribbon
chippy/s
inking
distressing
and a two word title
So what do you think, not all that difficult, the main thing is to have lots of fun with it.
Here we have Cheryl's absolutely gorgeous take, totally love all the beauiful layering, stunning flowers, use of the punch and lovely butterflies, such a stunning page.
I made the banner from the pages of an old book, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and used cotton twine, the pp is Kaiser and the alphas are old ones I had in my stash, forgot I had them actually.
Now Kim decided to do a Lou and came up with......
{Meeting Julie}
So I hope that you will come and play with us and cook up a storm.
Hugs and love

(We will be back to announce the winner of the August Colour Challenge in the next few days).
Hello Mary here, running a bit late with mine. Still trying to get back into the swing of things after being at Navutu in Fiji and seriously lacking mojo. Anyway last night I sat down and got stuck into creating my layout 5c Buster.
This is a layout of my hubby and his dog Buster, I will put the story on my blog. Can't wait to see what you all come up with
Cheers
